Hello Dali is a one-of-a-kind credenza that reflects an image of Salvador Dali when its two doors overlap. This innovative design showcases the surrealistic feeling that Dali's work is renowned for. At first glance, the cabinet appears to be a sleek and modern piece of furniture. However, it is only when the doors are closed that the true magic is revealed.

The cabinet is crafted from purple heart wood, a material known for its rich color and unique grain patterns. This choice of material adds to the overall surrealistic feeling of the design. The doors, made from aluminum, are created using a water jet machine, allowing for precise and intricate graphic elements.

Measuring 65 inches in width, 33 inches in height, and 17 inches in depth, Hello Dali is not only a visually stunning piece, but also a functional storage solution. The cabinet provides ample space for storing various items, while also serving as a conversation starter and a work of art in its own right.

Jun Soo Park's design process involved sketches, form and construction ideation, and 3D modeling in SolidWorks. Renderings were created using Key Shot to visualize the final product. The wood was meticulously milled by hand and assembled using wood dowels and glue, ensuring the highest quality craftsmanship.

Hello Dali was conceived and completed in San Francisco, California, USA, over a period of three months, from September to December 2014. The attention to detail and the dedication to bringing the surrealistic vision to life is evident in every aspect of this design.

This exceptional piece of furniture has been recognized for its excellence and innovation. Hello Dali was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in the Furniture Design category in 2016.
